Art of Belly Dancing
A dance that emerged from Egypt which features the movements of the hips and torso. The origin name 'belly dance' comes from the French Danse du ventre, which translates as "dance of the stomach".a Middle Eastern solo dance, performed with the midriff exposed, emphasizing movements of the pelvis and abdominal muscles.
Why Belly Dancing?
We are students in the mass communication department at the American University at Cairo and We choose this topic because belly dancing is a huge part of our culture and it is barely touched upon in nowadays society.
As we have noticed that the belly dancing field in Egypt has been filled with foreigners lately more than before while it is originally Egyptian culture.
